Jeannie McQueeny is a contemporary fashion and jewellery brand originally established in Nassau, Bahamas in 2001, creating original designs that capture the colours, the relaxed beauty and the romance of the islands.
Jeannie began to design one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery in 2001. Her ladies’ ready-to-wear line was launched in 2004, featuring kaftans, dresses and tops embellished by hand with exquisite embroidery, beads and gemstones. The collection is manufactured to exacting standards using only the highest quality silks, linen, cashmere and pashmina.
Sales were initially to boutiques and private retail clients in the Bahamas, but stockists were soon added in locations as far ranging as Palm Beach, London, St. Barths, Gstaad and others. In 2008 the range was broadened to include swimwear, knitwear and accessories.
A happy development for Jeannie McQueeny has been its adoption of BREEF (Bahamans Reef Environment Educational Foundation). Each season we will design special Jeannie McQueeny BREEF tunics, and a percentage of earnings from these tunics will be donated to this very worthy cause, which does so much to foster educational awareness about the fragile and endangered coral reef eco systems both in the Bahamas and in the wider world.
